Christenings and Funerals

Christenings

A Christening is a very special opportunity to celebrate the birth of your child and we are pleased you are thinking about coming to church for this occasion.
You can find information about a Church of England Christening at https://churchofenglandchristenings.org/

Please come to our All Togethery Service at 10.00am on the Third Sunday of the month to meet the clergy and enquire about a Christening for your child.
You may be offered a Sunday service at 10.00am or 2pm, when your child will be welcomed into the church family and baptised.

Funerals

Our ministers here are ready to help you when you chose a Church of England funeral. If you decide to do some advance planning you may find this website helpful:  https://churchofenglandfunerals.org/

When someone dies, your Funeral Director will make contact to arrange for you a minister to take a funeral either in Ash Church or at a local Crematorium. Cremated remains can be buried in the Garden of Remembrance within Ash Churchyard and details recorded in the Book of Remembrance in the church.

If you are interested in a burial or wish to have a stone memorial for buried ashes, your Funeral director will contact Ash-cum-Ridley Parish Council (Mrs Alison de Jager 01474 702760) who manages the modern burial ground behind the churchyard.
